We now know how long it’s likely to take the average player to reach level 100 in Diablo 4, and let’s just say this: you won’t be doing it within a weekend.
Replying to a question on the matter via Twitter, Associate Game Director on Diablo 4 Joseph Piepiora stated that “Reaching level 100 will take 150+ hours for the average player experience.” For reference, it was previously stated that completing one of the game’s battle passes would take around 80 hours, so it’s safe to say that reaching max level won’t be something that’s easy to achieve without some serious dedication.
Of course, the actual amount of time it takes for a player to reach level 100 in Diablo 4 will vary depending on how they play. More experience is awarded when partying up with other players, for example, and consumables also exist that boost the experience gained for a set period. Skilled players are likely to move more quickly through World Tiers, too, increasing the amount of experience earned.
Regardless, it’s clear that reaching the max level in Diablo 4 at launch won’t be something you can do overnight. It’s going to need dedication. And remember, while the first 50 levels players earn will be standard levels, rewarding them with skill points to spend across their character’s tree to create their build, the last 50 will be Paragon levels, where players really start to define their strengths. Needless to say, we’re keen to start the journey.
